DELTATRAVELER - v3.1.0 Preview Build 4
Hi! It's been a little bit but we have yet another preview build. I was gonna wait and implement some larger content updates that we have planned for v3.1.0, but someone ended up changing more of the code than we anticipated, so... preview build 4.
This one is a big milestone, which is the Persistent SAVE File + New Extras Menu milestone! The game now saves to a VyletBunni directory instead of the RynoGG directory and will transfer files and settings over if detected. This also makes this the first Linux preview build, since that platform has its own method of saving, and thus a different conversion process.
Like the last build, this new one will be located in the "Other Downloads" section of the site.
Obligatory reminder that THIS IS AN INCOMPLETE VERSION OF THE GAME. There are things that may be BROKEN and could corrupt your SAVE files!!! If you choose to participate in public testing, we HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you backup your SAVE files.
New Changes to v3.1.0
SAVE Files
* The game now saves to a VyletBunni directory.
* The Persistent SAVE file is now contained within an INI file that can be transferred across platforms.
This means there is a conversion process associated with moving all the SAVE file and settings from their original location / format to the new ones, and the process differs between Windows and Linux.
General
+ New Extras Menu, with each extra feature categorized by type. A few features from the Options menu (notably unlockables) were moved here.
+ Added button styles for Dualsense and Dualshock 3 controllers.
+ Added notification system to title screen and extras menu.
* Added button prompts to title screen "unresponsive" text.
* The characters on the title screen now switch out depending on what your party was last time you saved.
* Automatic Button Style now defaults to ON... because it was OFF by default for some reason.
* Implemented lightbar support for Dualshock controllers. Currently only works with wired controllers, and does not work on Linux.
* Ultimate Heal now accounts for equipment magic.
* Heal Prayer now uses armor magic no matter what.
Mario Bros.
* Quitting out Mario Bros. from the pause menu (not via Esc) will save your score if you achieved a high score.
Changes since Preview Build 3
General
* You can now make various random calls on the Key Item version of the Cellphone like you can in TS!UNDERSWAP. These are currently incomplete and may trigger in circumstances that they shouldn't (i.e. Hard Mode, Differing Route, etc)
* Fixed a few issues with collision triggers.
* Changed how items, encounters, and battle backgrounds work internally (which is why the preview build is releasing at this time)
* Decreased X-Slash's attack power but increased the normal Antique Knife's AT from 15 (18) to 20.
* Fixed an issue where downed mini-party members weren't revived at the end of battle.
Section 3
* Fixed Sans not taking the Silver Key back after you talk to him about it.
The next preview build should be the last one, which will consist of additional fixes and updated content that doesn't involve Arena Mode. See ya then!
